The hooks protrude by 3.2cm (1.25"). Specification: Simple to use: Firstly remove the strut from the vehicle, turn the hooks on the compressors along the thread of the bolt to the correct distance. Then attach the 2 compressors equally spaced on opposite sides of the spring you need to compress. Then simply tighten the bolt to reduce the distance between the hooks.
